I downloaded the Analyst Ratings and Broker Ratings/Recommendations objects (links below)
- http://www.quantshare.com/item-642-analyst-rating-yahoo-historical-buy-sell-recommendations&kbaseid=item-642-7419-3417
- http://www.quantshare.com/item-484-broker-ratings-recommendations&kbaseid=item-484-7417-3416
I also downloaded the Yahoo Buy/Sell Recommendation data using downloader and verified my database exists.

Couple of issues i'm running into -
1) Analyst Ratings is supposed to average all the ratings of a stock on any given day - strangely I see all the ratings are round numbers (e.g. 5, 4.5, 4, 3,5 etc)
even for large symbols like AAPL and IBM which have over 50 analysts. Shouldn't i expect decimal values such as 4.74 etc? (I'm using in a ranking system, hence )
- is it actually averaging the results? I tried both with and without a lookback window (see function call below), but same issue.

rating = AnalystRating("", 120, "");
rating = AnalystRating("", -1, "");

2) Broker Recommendations Downloader - I don't see an option to specify which symbol lists to download - How do i download this database for a symbol list?. It says "downloaded 0 symbols" upon completion. Am i missing something?

    Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
