Hello There,

First of all, let me congratulate you guys on making such a great application. It works great!! Thank You!!

So...

I'm Pretty new to Quantshare. So far so good.

I have downloaded EOD Quotes using one of Historical Data downloader objects from here.

However, the downloader adds a lot of symbols to the database that are no longer traded on the bourse.

How do I delete the redundant (or inactive) symbols from the database?

I have tried filtering the symbols (from the Bulk Updater) by trying different conditions example by Active Symbols and by Quotes ...Day of last quote etc.

It gives me proper Count BUT DOES NOT SELECT the corresponding Symbols in the Bulk Updater...

Also just a suggestion, would it be easier to include a Date Column in the Bulk Updater? Along with other Parameters like Name (1,2,3 etc') Market, Group, etc?

Thank you for your help in advanced!

Hello,

Please try this:
https://www.quantshare.com/how-436-how-to-remove-non-active-securities

If this doesn't work for you then probably the downloader doesn't update stock specific fields and thus you will need to either create a script (needs programming) or manually delete symbols.

Hi

Thank you for your reply! I appreciate that!

Now I understood the way Quantshare works! I tried a small batch of symbols and it worked perfectly!
