This is a list of UK symbols extracted from the following symbol list: London Stock Exchange Symbols. The total number of symbols is 2867. These symbols are selected because they have historical data in Google finance website. The other symbols are rejected.
To download historical data for these ticker symbols (companies listed on the LSE or London stock exchange), follow this link: LSE - UK - EOD data. The symbols data contains the following information about the companies: The ticker symbol of the company, the company title and the company ID. The last value is used by the downloader to create the URL needed to retrieve historical end-of-day data for UK stocks.
