I've recently downloaded QS and it is a little overwhelming. I'm trying to compile a dataset for some business research (not related to investing, just using stock info as a proxy for business success/failure).

I've gone through several of the tutorials, but they seem to be focused on building charts and analyzing data for investment strategies.

I have a list of about 1500 tickers (about 1/2 delisted) and I'm having trouble with all aspects of the program...downloading delisted data, importing my list of ticker symbols, building an appropriate query to view historical market cap info, and being able to view the results.

Any suggestions for someone that is struggling from the start?

Thanks,

Tony

Hello Tony,

- In Intermediate Lessons (Help -> QuantShare Lessons), there are some tutorials that show you how to import your own list of ticker symbols.

- Regarding Delisted Stocks, one of our users have shared a downloader that gets EOD data for delisted stocks. You can get the item here: Historical Quotes for Delisted US Stocks.

- For the market capitalization data, you can use Valuation ratios for US stocks to download this data and then use the watchlist to display the numbers.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

If you have any suggestions regarding the interface and tutorials please send us an email to support [at ] quantshare [dot ] com. Thank you.
