In the simulator, how do I set the price that I want the position to exit at? For example if a stop gets hit, how do I specify the price that the stock was exited at?
Update the sell or the cover order type.
Example:
Sell using limit order at the price of <rule>
However, if a stock is exited after it hit a stop, the simulator uses a market-on-open order. We will change the logic so it uses the settings defined in the "Sell" or "Cover" order type.
What you can do is add a condition in the limit order price.
Example:
Sell using limit order at the price of: iff( rule , limit price 1, limit price 2)
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
