Hi,

I wonder what the difference is between :

1. Setsimstop(_Stoploss,_Point,4,0);

and

2. the basic stoploss option in the strategy tab.

If buy and sell orders are done on close next day, will these stoporders then also be executed at that moment if criteria during intraday has been met?

What I need is a stoploss order which can be hit DURING the day and not the next day. How can I do this?

Regards,

Dennis

It is exactly the same. The "SetSimStop" offer a way to programmatically add stops to a system.

They will be executed using the same order as you exit order type. (by default it is Next day's open)
If you want to stop to be executed at the stop level, then update the trading system, select "Settings -> Capital -> Active stop immediately"

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
