Thank you Raju.

Range bars and other periodicities are created based on the current time-frame bars you are using.
To create a range bars chart:
- Right click on a chart
- Select Periodicity settings
- Click add new periodicity
- Type a name then save
- Select the periodicity then select select "Range per Bar"
- Type the unit. Example: 1 for one dollar (if you are trading US Stocks)
- Select "Multiple Tick Size" to get a range that is a multiple of the tick size (assuming you have set the tick size field of your securities)
- Click "Save Settings".
- Close the form
- Right click on a chart
- Select Periodicity then the Range Bar you have just created

the x axis sould not display dates if you do this on historical charts

Hi,

You can get unequal bars if there are gaps or if the high low range of one bar is higher than the price movement (unit).
Note that to get the best results you must apply range bar to tick data.

Why do you think that the x axis sould not display dates if you do this on historical charts?

When the realtime version of QuantShare will be released, you will be able to get data using your ESignal/Quote Centre Feed subscription.
