Sometimes a question strucks my mind, and I don't really have the correct answer. The question is:

If the stock prediction software that is put for sale by an individual or a company is working why doesn't he keep it for himself and use it in his own trading only rather than give it others.
Surely, he will earn much more money by using it rather that developing it for others.

How can we answer such a question?

QuantShare as well as many other financial programs are tools that allow investor to analyze the markets and develop trading strategies (They are tools like 3D studio Max, Excel, Word...)

Regarding ready-to-use trading strategies, there are many reasons why an individual or company wants to sell white, grey or back box trading systems

- Some of them are looking for more investors to use the trading system so that trades becomes more profitable (more buying pressure - Often used Penny stocks based strategies)
- Some expect to earn more by selling the system that by trading it
- Some of them don't have enough money to invest in their trading system
- Some are risk averse and think that selling a trading system is a safer investment

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
