Hi

I may have missed a tutorial somewhere although I want to ask how to create a trading object myself? I want to be able to track PMI releases for each country and other fundamental data.

Thanks

Hi,

A trading object could be a download item, a trading system, a screen, an indicator...

I think you are referring to download items. These items download data from URLs and add it to QuantShare databases.

There are more than 300 download items in the sharing server:
http://www.quantshare.com/index.php?option=Tabs&tabIndex=5&type=DownloadScript&order=creation_date&keywords=

Here is for example an item to download fundamental data:
http://www.quantshare.com/item-1181-morningstar-historical-fundamentals

For PMI:
http://www.quantshare.com/item-372-ivey-pmi-index-canada
http://www.quantshare.com/item-189-ism-manufacturing-pmi-index

You can also create your own download items. More info is available in the documentation file:
http://www.quantshare.com/download/QuantShare.chm
http://www.quantshare.com/download/QuantShare.pdf

Or you can hire one of QuantShare programmers to create download items for you. For more info, please contact support [at] quantshare [dot] com

I was referring to download items so thanks for your help. I will create more PMI and fundamental options and if useful, I will put them on the sharing server.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
