I am looking to create a watchlist that is filtered by applying a fornula on weekly prices of stocks. I am not sure how to get the weekly stock prices in a formula ? can you please show me an example ?

You can only apply a daily time (besides intraday time frames) in the watchlist, so the solution would be to compress the data within the formula using the "TimeframeApply" or "TimeframeSet" functions for example.

You can apply it on a chart to see how exactly it works.

Example:
TimeframeSet(7); // 7 for weekly compression
a = atr(10);
TimeframeRestore();
plot(a, "");

In the Dynamic Watchlist formula editor, there is an option at the bottom left of the editor to select a time frame, if this is changed to weekly from daily, than I assume that the weekly price series will be used by any functions within the formula, if that's the case then that would also work ?

Yes, exact. If you only need to use weekly data then yes, that would be much easier.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
