Locks up when market is open while using the *daily* chart with IEX?

Starting today (monday morning), QuantShare is spending most of its time locked up. I managed to get QuantShare working again, first by pulling my network connection (after logging in), and then later by disabling the IEX Exchange with the "Data Feed" option at the bottom of the screen. I don't seem to have the problem with the 5m chart or with Yahoo as my feed provider. (There are no other options.) And the problem doesn't seem to happen while the market is closed.

Am I doing something wrong?
What do I need to try?

Thanks,
Josh McCormick

Another thing that triggers it:
Opening up a chart with an index that isn't going to be on one of the data providers.
I have a downloader for ^DECLINING-VOLUME-NYSE. It has data, but it looks like QuantShare locks up when it goes back to its external data providers to try to pull the latest data for an index that doesn't exist?

As it turned out, a tiny and overlooked pane contained some of my initial experiments with formulas and indicators. Some combination of indicators (and it might have been a particularly intensive kpCandlePatternForecast search) that triggered a ton of backfill calls. After removing the pane, QuantShare is so much faster once again.

I thought I'd share this experience in case it ends up helping out someone else later down the line.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
