I am looking to colour the region between to moving averages in a indicator pane or price chart pane.
The colour in the region would alternate depending on whether the faster moving average is above the slower moving average and vice versa.
I have looked at the drawing tools but can't seen anything which would allow me to do this.

Drawing tools are used to draw something on a chart.
What you want to do is create a QS formula to be applied to a chart. Right click on the chart or pane, select "Edit Formula" then add the following formula then click on "Update Graph".

a = sma(10);
b = sma(50);
plot1(a, b, "", "", colorRed, colorTransparent, colorTransparent, ChartLine, StyleSymbolNone);
plot1(max(a, b), b, "", "", colorGreen, colorTransparent, colorTransparent, ChartLine, StyleSymbolNone);

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
