Hi, really like idea of portfolio feature.
Read all document, created new portfolio, added few existing systems.
Now trying to create advanced report for this portfolio, can backtest each individual system, all works fine but when
I click on "create advanced report" nothing comes up. Empty stats. Same for combined portfolio button.
Am I doing something wrong?
thanks in advance for your time and assistance
hi, thanks for your answer. I'm relatively "advanced" user of QuantShare for many years and have created many trading systems. For whatever reason can't get this portfolio feature to work. I have multiple systems created, backtested, analyzed, ... and all have signals up until literally 2-3 days ago. So now , I'm trying to understand, if I add one or 2 of those already created systems into portfolio, should I expect to see signals only for the day I'm running it (like today) or I should somehow be able to see previous signals for whatever period of time is selected within portfolio back days field and portfolio's performance for that period?
Would really appreciate some clarity here since QS is really great tool and if I can get somehow to understand portfolio and multi-strategy (another of my pain points) features it would be super cool. thanks in advance
Assuming you are referring to EOD (Trading System-Based) portfolio. After you create your portfolio and add an EOD trading system, you need to select that portfolio on the left panel then click on the "Get Signals" button (You may choose a different signal date).
The portfolio will run the strategy and pick the stocks that were bought/sold (if you have positions in your portfolio) on that particular date then add the appropriate orders in the "Pending Orders" tab.
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
