Inge, Jim, it's a joy to see you finetuning this downloader jointly, congrats!

I had downloaded MSCI Barra indices in VB, and checked how to configure most query parameters. As these pre/post script things in QS are a bit above my knowledge, I feel I cannot get this into QS by my own. But I want to share with you and the community if anybody can use it:

There are more indices and parameters to configure, but these should be fine for most uses.

Hope it helps,
Alex

Hi,
new version available again:
1. Add field "name_ind" (should be 0-3) to select between name, name1, name2, name3. If field does not exist, 3 is default.
2. Field "use_adjusted_close" also made optional, with default "TRUE".
3. Some prettyprinting of code and minor update(s).
Not so much tested.

Download from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f4wrwwk7d282nu9/B3J6L-dup1
Sorry for all the versions, I'm planning to slow this down in the time ahead ...

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
