This Splits Calendar item gets historical stock splits data for U.S. Stocks starting from 2000 to present. It stores the data in a custom historical database (Splits) that contains fours fields:
- Date: This field contains the Split Ex-Date or the date the stock/share price changes to reflect the split.
- Optionable: This field gets 1 if the stock is optionable and 0 otherwise.
- Ratio: This is the split ratio; a numeric value that corresponds to the number of a company's outstanding shares that are increased after the stock split. A split value of 2 (two-for-one or 2-1) multiplies the total number of outstanding shares by 2.
A split of 3-2 will be translated to 1.5 (3/2) and a reverse split of 1-2 will be translated to 0.5 (The number of outstanding shares has decreased by half).
- Announced: This is the date the split was announced.
The split historical data is downloaded by date (not by symbol). This means that data will be downloaded for all U.S. Stocks for the period you specify in the "Start & End Dates" tab.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
