Intraday Data for US Stocks

by QuantShare, 2654 days ago

This download item gets historical intraday data for free for U.S. Stocks. The trading object downloads 1 minute bars for several days and it gets the close, open, high, low and volume fields. Once the data is downloaded you can display intraday charts using any timeframe equal or higher than one minute.

After you open the downloader, there are two fields you can update:
Symbols: Allow you to specify the stocks to use to download intraday data. The downloader will make a request for each stock, parse the result and insert it in into the intraday database.
Number of past days: Specify the number of past days intraday data (1 minute snapshot - Backfill) to download. You can download up to 15 days of intraday data.

During the parsing process and after the download, the pre-script converts dates found on the data file to the exchange date. This means that each session first bar starts at 9:30 (For Liquid Stocks).

For U.S. Stocks historical data (end of day data) you can use the following downloader: Historical Stock Market Data.
To download news data for US Stocks, use the Yahoo News and for stock tweets download this trading object StockTwits.
Note that you can integrate news and tweets data into your intraday charts and trading strategies.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
