Hello,
I was wondering if there is a suggested test setup for conducting multiple market out of sample testing. The issue I'm having is that if I create 1 account and install many markets in that account, a conflict of symbol names prevents me from keeping everything in one place. For some markets the number of conflicting symbol names is big. However, keeping every market in one account, would expedite the process of running out of sample testing from the AI optimizer. Instead I'm thinking of creating a single account for each market and then copying trading systems that show good results in optimization. But this is cumbersome because it involves not only switching accounts, but updating data and copying trading systems.
What is the suggested approach for conducting multiple market out of sample testing ?

Thanks !

Hi,

You can either use Symbol -> Auto-Manage Symbols, check your exchanges then update the "Name" field to "Yahoo Symbol".

Or you can create have one exchange per account then transfer your trading items like this:

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
