Hi,

I am using Export Indicators Data to export some indicator data for use with other software. This is a really useful feature and it works great up until the point that I try to export a lot of indicators and/or data in one go. When I try that, after a couple of minutes I get a popup titled "Info" that say "The script has timed out." and no data is exported.

I guess it's the URL-Script that's timing out, but I couldn't find any way to increase the timeout period. Do you know of any way I could increase or disable the timeout for this script?

Thanks,
KP

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the timeout in script implemented in the downloader tool.

What you can do is implement your own script in the global script tool (Tools -> Script Editor)

Got it. I'd been using some exporter scripts as you are suggesting before, but liked the convenience of having that function rolled into the Export Indicators Data downloader. So, not a big deal, but maybe a method for changing the downloader script timeout could make it into a future QS revision?

Thanks,
KP

We added the timeout to prevent scripts from running for a long time and this usually happens if there are some mistakes in the code.
At the same time, we added the ability to create long running scripts using the global script tool.
