Hi,

I followed the instructions in setting up the import of local data. I have set it up to use [SYMBOL].csv because it needs to retrieve the symbol name from the filename.
For some reason I get a error every time when it tries to import local data. However when I click the test button it locates the data and displays it.
How can I solve this? Can a firewall be reason for this? The data is located in C:\temp

Regards,
Dennis

When I replace the [SYMBOL] with the filename it does work, so I guess it has something to do with the setup for SYMBOL

In the downloader, when you click on "Parser" button, you will get the link that was used to download the data. Check if that link is correct.
[SYMBOL] tag would work only if the "Symbols" tab is present in the downloader. Please read exactly the instructions present under the paragraph:

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
