I am seeing unexplainable behavior using the comp function. Seems like there may be an issue related to memory. Some numbers are randomly given a lower rank.

If you are using the screener to verify the "comp" function ranks then make sure you are using screen by date (not by bar).

If you still think there are some problems, then please give me an example.

Thanks. It works fine. Just curious, why does it not work well with bar - 0?

It works. However, the data is not what you expect because composite symbols are assembled by date and not by bar number.
When using the "bar" setting in the screener, the symbols that are returned do not have necessary the same last date.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
