I'm testing how to import a data file. I downloaded a typical yahoo data file with the seven columns( date, open,hi,low, close, vol, adj close) and saved it as a CVS-comma -delimited file. When I go to import it into QS(using the Data tab/ASCII Import), I get the message 1 file not loaoded. Why is the file not loaded, what am I doing wrong?

This usually means that the application cannot load the file.

Another application (such as Excel) is probably having a lock on the file.

Is there a way around this?

Best Answer
Yes. The code is already updated and you will be able to open locked file in the next version.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
