Every time when I start QuantShare ALUM (in example) starts downloading wrong values (from where?)
When I delete the wrong data and download it manually with the right downloader the values are OK.

Next time when I start QS I have the wrong values again?

Where does QS take these wrong values from?

Regards
Joerg

Best Answer
This is because you have "Download -> Auto-Download Quotes" enabled and the auto-downloader gets data (when chart is loaded after app starts) from another downloader (Probably Historical Stock Market Data item).

I will go crazy!

Because there where some "runaways" in my data i decided to download all ETF again with option "remove old data".
start end end dates: from 01.01.1900 to Today

After downloading i have data starting in april 2011. (despite of that i have had data from years before....) Where have they been gone?
And where did i download it earlier?

It seems that one should take into consideration that i will last months to learn QS :-(

Only a few data after downloading all again:

If "Last symbol date" is checked then "From" date will not be used. Make sure it is unchecked.

I found the problem.
It is because the data provider uses a default start date (2010) if the provided date is far (1900).

Change 1900 to 2000.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
