Hi,
When looking at a backtest report>Trades, how does one bring up a chart with the buy/sell arrows on it.Also,it is it possible to bring up the chart with arrows
and have the buy date automatically shown on the chart.Perhaps I may be missing something, but I can not get arrows and I have to scroll the chart
to the buy date..

Thanks,

Allan

I do see the arrows are drawn, but the chart does not open at the trade date.Perhaps an option to open chart at current date(i.e. trade date) would be nice

Yes, this will be an excellent feature.

+1 - It would be huge time-saver and the most reliable visual method to "debug" and verify a backtest.

I have also seen it where the trade date is apx centered on the screen...
Either method would make things alot easier

In the next release, a chart will open at the trade entry date. Which means that the first bar corresponds to the trade entry date. Is that ok?

Sure . That sounds fine. If the chart is already open, it could auto scroll to the next trading bar.

That is fine, and for real time version, it should open at corresponding time as well.

I think it may be a bit better to see "some" price action preceeding the entry date/arrow.

P.S.

I dont really trade intra-day,so I may be biased. One could simply increase the number of bars to see lead up action if the first data point on the screen is the entry.

Whatever you think:)

Beta 2.9.4. It is much better than I expected! "Shading" the trade duration area is a great idea. I can see the entry and exit clearly, even has a box caption with the entry/exit prices + return.
This is very helpful.
Thank you.

You can click on any arrow (on a chart) to display these.
