A few things would help make the interface a bit more useful

1. Make all toolbars customizable and individually hideable
2. Allow toolbars to be smaller in size (e.g., the size of toolbar/shortcut buttons in MS Word) and/or show icons only (no text)

Thanks for the suggestion.

Regarding question 1, which toolbars are you referring to?

Hi Quantshare team,

I agree with David that the toolbar could be organized in a more useful way. Small fixes could be:

1) position of toolbars are saved (after a QS restart the toolbars are not all at the same position as before (e.g. are now below each other while they were arranged horizontally).
2) Align shortcut layout to toolbar layout (currently shortcuts cannot be arranged horizontally next to other toolbars)

What is not ideally solved is that QS elements can be accessed both via the menu and toolbars (e.g. simulator, downloaders, watchlist) - if you maintain shortcuts, it might even be 3 links for the same topic. That might be confusing for new QS users is that some. My propsal here would be to switch to the ribbon layout as in office. You could integrate menu and toolbar in one consolidated list, which is customizable by the user. E.g. one tab is for downloaders, which lists the current menu + toolbar elements, plus one-click buttons for a set of favorite downloaders. This can 1) reduce navigation complexity, thus 2) saves time.

This is of course criticism on a high level, but maybe it helps getting ideas for some later QS versions.

Best
Jan

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
