Historical Stock Quotes Data for more than 50 Exchanges

Yahoo finance website offers traders historical quotes data for more than 50 stock exchanges. This includes the main stock exchanges in the United States and several European and Asiatic stock exchanges.

This trading object lets you download historical quotes for all companies listed on these exchanges. It is almost the same as the Historical Stock Market Data item; the difference is that this item allows you to define the suffix to append to each stock ticker symbol before downloading historical data. This means that you can use almost any list of symbols and do not have to convert ticker symbols to the yahoo format.
Example:
For the Brazilian stock market, BAHI3 is a ticker symbol of a company listed on the BOVESPA - Sao Paulo Stock Exchange. The suffix of this exchange is "SA" and therefore in order to download historical quotes data for companies listed on that exchange, you don't have to append ".SA" to the ticker symbol (In this example, the symbol will become BAHI3.SA), you simply need to type "SA" in the "Stock Exchange Suffix" input box. The input box appears after you open the download item.

Here are some yahoo-supported stock exchanges:
Buenos Aires Stock Exchange - Suffix: BA
Australian Stock Exchange - Suffix: AX
Toronto Stock Exchange - Suffix: TO
Shanghai Stock Exchange - Suffix: SS
Shenzhen Stock Exchange - Suffix: SZ
Paris Stock Exchange - Suffix: PA
Bombay Stock Exchange - Suffix: BO
Hong Kong Stock Exchange - Suffix: HK
Stuttgart Stock Exchange - Suffix: SG
Jakarta Stock Exchange - Suffix: JK
Taiwan Stock Exchange - Suffix: TW
London Stock Exchange - Suffix: L

United States stock exchanges do not require any suffix.

The complete list of stock exchanges with their suffixes is available here: http://finance.yahoo.com/exchanges

The downloader contains a script that automatically adjusts historical quotes data for splits and bonuses and fixes some quotes errors on bars where no volume or trading activity occurred.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
