This item contains the ticker symbols list of companies that trade in the Spain Stock Market. The list has 148 symbols and most of the companies are listed in the 'Bolsa de Madrid'.
The Madrid Stock Exchange or (Bolsa de Madrid) was officially founded in 1831.
Spain has four regional stock exchanges. These exchanges are located in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.

The Madrid Stock Exchange is the largest exchange and the most international one in Spain. It is owned by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles and it lists stocks, derivatives, convertible bonds, fixed income securities...

This list's data includes the company symbol, the company CUSIP number, the company yahoo-compatible symbol (It is generally the symbol name plus '.MC'), the company title or full name, the company activity description, the security market, industry and group, the fiscal month, the country and the currency of the company.

You can download historical data for Spain's companies by using the yahoo downloader: Yahoo EOD historical quotes. The downloader will use the yahoo-compatible symbol, located in the 'name1' field, to retrieve the historical end-of-day data.
