Lisbon Stock Exchange

The Lisbon Stock Exchange is the main stock exchange in Portugal. It is located in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and since 2007, it is part of the NYSE Euronext group (After the merger of Euronext and NYSE).

In 2002, Euronext acquired the Lisbon stock exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Lisboa e Porto - BVLP). The exchange is now known as the Euronext Lisbon.
The Lisbon Stock Exchange or Euronext Lisbon trades equities, participation bonds, public and private bonds, warrants, corporate warrants, exchange traded funds...
It has a settlement of T+3 and its trading session starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. The main index of this exchange is the BVL General index. This index contains all listed stocks on the official market.

This list of symbols contains all companies (stocks) listed in the Lisbon Stock Exchange; the list contains 58 symbols and it was retrieved from the Euronext website (euronext.com).
Besides stock symbol names, the list contains also information about the following fields:
Symbol Name1: The yahoo-compatible symbol name
Symbol Name2: The ISIN code
Symbol Name3: The Euronext code
Full name: The company title
Country: The country where the company operates
Currency: The trading currency
Industry: The Company's industry

The 'Name1' field contains the yahoo-compatible symbol name. That is, the symbol name plus the exchange suffix (.LS). You can therefore use Yahoo EOD historical quotes to download historical EOD quotes data for stocks that trade in the Lisbon stock exchange.
