The CRBQX, CRBIX and CRBAX are three market indices created by Thomson Reuters/Jefferies. The indices include most of the industry global market capitalization.
The CRBQX or the TR/J CRB Global Commodity Equity Index (Symbol name: ^CRBQX) is an equity index designed to track 150 stocks, which are essentially engaged in the distribution and production of commodities. This includes stocks in the energy, metals and agriculture industries.
The CRBIX or the TR/J CRB Global Metals Equity Index (Symbol name: ^CRBIX) is a capitalization weighted and float adjusted index, whose constituents are largely engaged in the metals industry. The industrial metals industry must account for at least 50% of the company's annual revenues. TR/J CRB Global Metals Equity Index tracks 35 stocks; each stock must have a market capitalization of at least 750 million USD and an average daily turnover in excess of 1 million US Dollar.
