Stock News from Articles, Bloggers, Columnists, Traders and Analysts

This Stock News item gets articles that are about US stocks from the Stockblotter website. It downloads and parses an RSS feed for each ticker symbol and then updates and inserts the data in a new database whose name is "stockblotter_news". The database contains the following fields:

Title: The article title.
Example:
Biotech: Update on Deals, Mergers, Funding.
Hot Stocks of the Day | NTY | VRNM | OPNT

Description: The article content. This field may contain the whole article or an excerpt.

Category: The category field contains the article provider's website. Providers are columnists, bloggers, traders, economists and armchair analysts; websites include Investment U, Naked Capitalism, Jeff Frankel's Weblog, Macroblog, The Pragmatic Capitalist, Cheap Stocks, Real Time Economics, Disciplined Investing, Free Exchange, World Beta, Index Universe, Commodity Bull Market, Calculated Risk, Tech Trader Daily, Wall St. Cheat Sheet, Crossing Wall Street, The Technical Take, Hard Assets Investor, Gauging Corporate Financial Results and Financial Sense.
Stockblotter gets articles about US stocks from more than 100 websites.
