JSE Historical EOD Data - Johannesburg Stock Exchange
This JSE Historical Data item retrieves EOD quotes for all companies that are listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The list of ticker symbols can be downloaded here: Johannesburg Stock Exchange - JSE.
You can choose to download data for the last 5 days (week) or 5 years. In the "TimePeriod" tab of the JSE downloader form, type "1W" to download data for the last 5 days or set "5Y" to download data for the last 5 years.
In the "Symbols" field, select the stocks and then click on the "Start" button to begin the downloading process.
The JSE item gets historical data of the open, high, low, close and volume fields. It contains a Pre-Script that checks the parsed data and sets the volume field to zero if it is empty and also sets the open, high and low fields to the close price value in case one of these fields is empty or missing. In case the close value is not present, the downloaded line is simply ignored.
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
