Have been trying to compile a list of all ETF tradable at European exchanges, with different references (Symbol, ISIN, SEDOL, etc), exchange MIC, index tracked, TER, and all the rest you need when preparing for trading.
But due to some ETF being listed at one exchange (PAR, SW, ETR, etc), some at various and the ISIN not indicating the exchange it's really troublesome. Tried several of the available QS lists, downloaders and searched the web for any comprehensive list, but still a big patchwork of different masterdata which does not fit together.
Does anybody have a tip of how to proceed here, link to online data or homebrew list you could share?
Interactive Brokers will give you a list of all stocks+ETFs by exchange including ticker symbol and name.
I took that list in Excel and filtered out all security names containing the word ETF and such. Sorting by security name also helps as ETF providers tend to put out more than one ETF starting with the same name.
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
