I'm using the following ETFs in my list for a Daiy simulation and used the Historical Stock Market Data Downloader to download the ETF daily data.

1) Several of these ETFs started in 2007, but the Downloader only downloads data from 2011 onward (e.g. BWX, FM etc). How can i get data prior to this?

2) The simulation starts trades only in 2011 and seems to require all symbol data before it can issue trades.
How do i run the backtest for those symbols in the list that do have data prior to 2011 - e.g. GLD, AGG goes all the way back to 2004.

AGG
BWX
DBC
GLD
HYG
IJH
OEF
RWX
VGK
VNQ
VPL
VWO
XLB
XLE
XLF
XLI
XLK
XLP
XLU
SPY
IEF
XLV
XLY

1/ In the "Start & End Dates" tab, update the start date. If you put 2007 and you get data only starting from 2011 then this means that the data provider offers data only starting from 2011 for that symbol.

2/ The backtester uses the data you download or import. If there is no data for 2007 then it cannot backtest that year.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
