I have the "Historical Earnings Calendar for Major Stock Exchanges" and it doesn't download data after Nov 2016 - gives "27935 Errors" message.
- How do i fix this? I need the Earnings Surprise number on earnings announcements date for US stocks.

If not, is there a different one that provides Earnings Surprise (other data such as Sales Surprise would be nice) over the last 10-15 years for US stocks, pl recommend.
- If this overwrites the "earnings_cal" database, can i use a different database, since i've already written some strategies that use this database with existing data.

thanks
Kiran

Any update on how to fix this or an alternate Downloader that could get this data?

Try downloading the item again from the sharing server.

You can also use the following downloader:

I re-installed the item "Historical Earnings Calendar for Major Stock Exchanges" again and tried download but it downloads no data.
Noticed the Download URL may have changed by Yahoo as it returns no results in the browser for earlier or current dates. "https://finance.yahoo.com/calendar/earnings?day=2017-05-17"

- what's the new Download URL for Yahoo and could you update the object? How does one change the Download URL in the object?

The other object you recommended "for US Stocks - Date/Time and EPS" does not return the Earnings Surprise data, so not interesting.
- Is there any other object with Earning Surprise data?

The downloader seems to be working. It was updated and the URL was changed.

Here is how to debug a downloader:
