Where can I find: a complete list of Quantshare language keywords?
Where can I find: a complete list of c#.net keywords that Quantshare recognizes?
Where can I find: a complete list of jscript.net keywords that Quantshare recognizes?

My apologies if this has already been covered and is buried somewhere in a forum, but after 2 weeks of reading the obvious stuff, I still can't find all of this.

Hi Castelli,

1/ As Allan said, you can check the documentation files.
2/ You can also click on "CONTROL+CONTROL" in each control to display available functions and variables.
3/ In C#/JScript.Net editors, click on the "Help" button at the bottom

Allan,

CHM is the abbreviation and filename extension for the Microsoft Compiled HTML Help file format. It is much better to read documentation with this format.

If you have problems reading the CHM file, please check this thread:

Just to remember the original qeistions:
Where can I find: a complete list of Quantshare language keywords?
Where can I find: a complete list of c#.net keywords that Quantshare recognizes?
Where can I find: a complete list of jscript.net keywords that Quantshare recognizes?

I'm also interested of the answers.
Sorry to say but there is no answer of the above questions!
Example - I would like to know if Quantshare recognizes "if" or "switch" C# keyword. This is not stated in the documentation.
The documentation is just a list of functions - needed of cource but should start with the list of the supported keywords.

Regards
Naso64l

Hi,

Here are a brief introduction to QuantShare language:
http://www.quantshare.com/sa-499-quantshare-programming-language-tutorial

QuantShare supports only the listed functions + custom functions you create using "Tools -> Create Functions".
To create "if" or "switch" statements, you have to use C# (not QuantShare language).

The PDF and CHM documentation files list all QuantShare functions and C# classes/functions added by QuantShare.
You can also use CONTROL+SPACE shortcut in any editor to display the list of available classes/functions.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regarding the CHM issue..It has been months and I still dont have a clue how to open it.If there was any way you could provide it in another manner, that would be great.QS is a great program, but its complexity can be daunting for the non programmer. The more documentation you could offer in an easy to open/read format would go a long way

CHM can be opened by any Windows operating system. Just double click on the file.
If you get an error message while reading the CHM file then follow the instructions provided below:

Hi,
I have discovered the problem and perhaps this will help others. When I downloaded the CHM file and simply opened it,it came up blank.I could not right click >Properties>Unblock.

When I right clicked and selected "OPEN Containing Folder",I could then right click on Properties>Unblock.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

Hope this helps

Allan

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
