Hello,

Recently I've had problem with multiple downloaders failing with "ErrorMessage: SecureChannelFailure". These downloaders had been working for quite some time (years) until this failure showed up. I hadn't made any changes to them recently.

The problem downloaders are using HTTPS, so I was thinking this might be a certificate or ssl/tls protocol problem. I've had no luck troubleshooting, though.

I can get you sample URL's or whatever else might help. I have QuantShare version 3.4.1.

Thanks,
KP

Which downloader for example?
Did you switched computer or installed another version of Windows?
Which version do you have now?

Nothing has changed on the computer / OS front; I have Windows 8.1 and have been using this box with QS for research and trading for years now.

The downloaders are homegrown, developed for accessing a few paid data services. I am sure it is nothing to do with the specific downloader code as no changes were made and they all now fail with the same error message. Here is an example of the error from the Parser button in "Update Download Item": https://pasteboard.co/JuktSEO.png

(had to block out token there as it is a private api key)

Have you seen this error before?

Thanks,
KP

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
