I want to view a chart as it developed over a certain period that I define to see if my signals were correct. At any point I should be able to stop the further plotting of the chart. Also the chart should not br plotted before hand ie. it should develop as new values come in as in real life. Is this possible?

Hi,

I have created, some months ago, a script that performs Chart Playback and Replay.
You can download it here:
http://www.quantshare.com/free/chart_training.txt

Select Tools -> Script Editor. Create a new file, paste the Chart Playback script then click on Execute.

Please let me know what you think.

I realize that this was created a long time ago, and I'm not sure that I know how to use it properly, but this provides some really nice guidance on how to make an interface that works inside of the QuantShare graphs. Useful!

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
