Which downloader can i use for intraday indexes?

^DJI
^GDAXI
^GSPC
etc.

Almost all of them. But the symbol name of the indices may be different.
Read the description of each item.

Do you need intraday or current day (daily bar)?

Daily Stock Quotes - Stock Market EOD Data should work.

It is the same as Daily Stock Quotes for more than 50 Stock Exchanges but it does not use a suffix (U.S. Stocks + Indices).

You can debug the downloader by clicking on "Update" then "Parser".
Please let me know if there are any errors during the downloading/parsing and what is the downloaded date for the ^DJI indice

Yes. If you visit finance.yahoo.com, you will find that there is no "Download Data" link for ^DJI (Under 'Toolbox').
