Hi,
Not sure what is occuring, but when I type in a symbol to chart,I keep on getting a popup, "Would you like to add symbol xxx to your database".
It is happening with stocks that are in my database..

thanks,

Allan

Hi,

Are you sure the symbols you are typing do not have any extra space?
What happens when you use the "Down Arrow" key instead of the "ENTER" key?
Do you see your symbols when you open the combobox list?

Hi,
I am pretty sure there is no extra space being typed.
The down arrow brings up a blank box.

By combobox do you mean the box next to "select a symbol"?
That is blank..no symbols..

All th symbols are in my watchlists, and when I click there I get a chart to come up.

Whats wierd is if I type in IBM the symbol will not be charted. But if ibm is typed in the symbol box and i select Account>New>Chart,a new chart will pop up with IBM charted..

Allan

Yes, I was referring to the control next to "select a symbol".

If you there are no symbols there, then this means that you there are no symbols in your database (Some data may persist like the "IBM" case).
Add new symbols from the sharing server or using Symbol -> Auto-Manage Symbols.

Note that if you create a new account (Accounts -> Add Account), you will get an empty database.

This shouldn't be possible. Please send an email to support@quantshare.com with some screenshots.
