                                                   Delisted Historical Prices?

I'm new to Quantshare, checking it out for building and testing trading systems. Specifically, I hoped to use the delisted US Stocks downloader to build a survivorship bias-free database.

I added the delisted symbols and the downloader, but there's no data after the downloads complete. I plug the download URL into my browser and the file I get has the column headers, but no data. If I change the symbol to an active stock, I get a valid file with historical data.

Also, none of the 'inactive' stocks are found when you plug them into markets.chron.com. I believe what once was a free source of data for delisted stocks no longer has those delisted stocks.

Can anyone verify this? Is there another source of delisted data, and possibly another downloader out there?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott ,

You are right. It looks like the downloader no longer works. Please give me one or two days and I will try to find another source.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
