Layouts

Updated on 2011-10-07

A Chart Layout contains:
- Panes settings
- Template of each pane
- Formulas of each pane

To create a new chart layout, right click on a chart, select "Layout" then click on "Save Layout" or "Save Layout as".

To update a chart layout, right click on a chart then select a layout from the "Layout" menu.

As with the template, there is a Layout menu at the bottom of the application. This menu allows you to remove layouts and associate a layout to all open charts.

When you open a new chart (Using View -> New Chart for example), the chart will be automatically associated with the default layout.
The original default layout contains one pane. In this pane, it plots the candlestick chart and the volume bars.

To update the default layout, simply right click on a chart, select "Layout" then select "Set Current Layout as Default".

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
