Singapore Exchange EOD Data - SGX - Last 20 days

by QuantShare, 4505 days ago

The following download item retrieves historical EOD data for the Singapore Exchange (SGX). It gets data very quickly (by date) for the last 22 market days and for all securities (Stocks, ADRs, Company Warrants, ETFs and ETNs).

To get older data, please use the following downloader: Singapore Stocks - Historical Data. You can also use the default downloader (Historical Stock Market Data) to get historical data for Singapore stocks. Note however that the latter downloader gets data from Yahoo and it appears that there are missing quotes for some stocks (especially in July 2012).

The current downloader automatically adds new ticker symbols to your database (with the company name/security full name) but you can also get a list of ticker symbols for Singapore stocks by installing the following list: Singapore Exchange.

How it works:
- The item downloads a zipped file for each trading day (given the start/end dates you provide)
- It decompresses that file and reads the content
- It parses the data and fixes few issues (such as when the high, low or open prices are set to zero. In that case, the high, low or open field is set to the close price)
- It adds the data into the end-of-day database of QuantShare

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
