The Saudi stock market is the biggest market in the Arab world by market capitalization. The stock market capitalization exceeds the 55 billion US dollars.
Only people belonging to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are allowed to invest in the Saudi Arabia stock market. Foreigners can invest only through mutual funds offered by the Saudi banks.
The Saudi Arabia stock exchange (Tadawul) is open from Saturday through Wednesday, from 11:00am through 03:30pm local time. (It is closed on Thursday and Friday as well as the 23 September which is the National day of Saudi Arabia, and Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha days).
