Amsterdam stock exchange

After merging with the Paris Stock Exchange and the Brussels Stock Exchange to form the Euronext in 22 September 2000 (Euronext merged with NYSE in 2007 to form the NYSE Euronext), The Amsterdam Stock Exchange name changed to become the Euronext Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam Stock Exchange is considered to be the oldest stock exchange in the world, it traded the first stock as well as several other speculative instruments. This exchange was founded in the early 1600s by the Dutch East India Company, a chartered company and the first multinational corporation in the world.

The Amsterdam Stock Exchange or the Euronext Amsterdam has 196 listed companies. The current list contains data information about these stocks. Here is the fields:
Symbol Name: The stock symbol name
Symbol Name1: The stock yahoo-compatible symbol name
Symbol Name2: The stock ISIN code
Symbol Name3: The stock Euronext code
Full name: The Company's title
Country: the Company's country
Currency: The trading currency
Industry: The Company's industry

The list was downloaded from the Euronext website (euronext.com).

You can use Yahoo EOD historical quotes to download historical EOD data for stocks that trade in the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. This object uses the 'Symbol Name1' field to retrieve data.
