Slope Angle of a Trendline

Here is a trend line that displays the line slope angle which is the angle in degrees from the horizon. This drawing tool is similar to any trendline tool used in technical analysis; select it then click on the chart to create the first anchor point or line extremity then move your mouse to create the other extremity of the line. The second anchor point is created after you click again on the chart. While moving your mouse cursor the angle of the trendline is displayed near the cursor. A "0%" is for example displayed when the trendline is horizontal and a "90%" is displayed when the trendline is vertical.

Note that because a drawing tool requires some anchor points and that each point is associated with a date and a value, if you update the chart scale simply by moving it (new high or low appears) or increasing the number of bars displayed, there angle of the trendline will certainly change. This is very normal.

Here are some other custom drawing tools:
Trendline is a simple drawing tool that creates a trendline and displays the number of bars and distance in points between the trendline extremities.
Close Price Above Cursor trading object displays the close price above the mouse cursor.
Camarilla Pivot Points Study is a drawing tool that displays camarilla pivot points simply by moving your mouse over a chart.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
