Let say I will be paying for a service where they send the quotes in a csv file. These csv files can be automatically downloaded.

Now how do I get this data from csv file into Quantshare quotes database. I mean what is the best & easy way to do it so that I can automate the whole process.

Should I use a downloader? or ASCII file import or write a script to read this file and insert into Quantshare quotes database?

You can either create a downloader, insert data using a script or import the data manually using ASCII feature.

We will write a blog post about how to use a downloader to read csv data stored locally.

If I am using a downloader how do I create the file name as the file name has a date tied to it. So quotes for June 5th will read USE_20130705.csv

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
