Why
is it that results of screening with screener andTHRU watch list are
different even though i used the same rule i.e. close >
1.02*sma(200). Watchlist returned only 3 results BOI HINDALO AND JSW
STEEL. WHEREAS SCREENER RETURNED MANY??? and that too of these many stocks there are a no of stocks which do not qualify the screener condition one example is bank of maharashtra its 200sma is 48.8 and close is 54.2 thats way above 2% its just one example infact there are many such examples mahindara life is not shown in EITHER SCREENING (WATCH LIST AND SCREENER )WHEREAS ITS 200SMA IS 377AND CLOSE IS 406 SO ITS MORE THEN 2% AS MENTIONED IN SCREENER THEN HOW COME IT WAS EXCLUDED IN EITHER SCREENING????? GLENMARK AS EXCLUDED CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THESE DISCREPANCIES.? MAY BE A BUG OR 2 STILL PRESENT????????????????
I HOPE THESE DISCREPANCIES WILL BE LOOKED IN TO PROMPTLY AS USUAL.

I have tested the "close > 1.02*sma(200)" rule on both screener and watchlist and get exactly the same results. 679 stocks as of 21/05/2010.
Make sure that you have specified the same settings. In watchlist, set the "Display symbols that pass the rules" option to "for the last: one day".

The 200-bar SMA of Bank of Maharashtra is 48.8 and its close price is 54.2 and therefore the "close > 1.02*sma(200)" is True.
There are no bugs or discrepancies between the watchlist and screener plugins.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
