Morningstar Annual Fundamentals 2.0 for US and International Stocks
This downloader gets 10 years of annual fundamentals from Morningstar's free fundamental ratios.
New features:
* It now works with non-USD financial statements.
* Balance sheet items such as Cash & Equivalents are converted from % of total assets to a dollar (or other currency) figure.
* Income Statement items such as COGS and Gross Profit are also converted from % of sales to a dollar (or other currency) figure.
* It lags the fiscal periods by 45 days + 2 weeks.
Limitations:
* Uses the name3 field as the symbol name.
* These numbers are taken from the annual statements which only get updated once a year. It does not record the most recent data from that web page.
* This downloader uses a different database layout than the original Morningstar downloader.
Usage notes -- Important!
* Before downloading data, the 'Name3' field must be filled in with a ticker recognizeable to Morningstar. For US companies this usually means the US ticker. However for most foreign traded stocks the Name3 field format is "[ticker]®ion=[region]".
Suggested uses:
* This downloader is useful to screen for free global (or international) Benjamin Graham Net Nets or for other fundamental factors.
* Free screening and/or ranking pased on fundamentals such as PE, Price to Book ratio, Price to Sales ratio etc. for US and international stocks.
Wonk Notes:
* Many of the numbers are derived from ratios and are therefore approximate due to rounding errors.
* For international stocks you will need to convert the currencies so that the fundamentals and the price are of the same currrency.
* The default curency is the same as net income unless specified there is a special field in the database for the currency of that item.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
