NEPSE is the abbreviation of the Nepal Stock Exchange, the only stock exchange of Nepal. There are about 370 companies listed on that exchange and they account for more than 10 U.S. dollars billion in equity market capitalization.
This downloader gets today's quote data for all companies listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange. As of November 2014, data for about 125 ticker symbols were downloaded (Scrips with traded shares on that day).
The data is downloaded from the Nepal stock exchange website. The website offer an Export button to retrieve all today's quote in one single click. This downloader automates the process of getting that data and adding it to your QuantShare database. You just have to run this downloader once a day (could be automated too) to update your database and charts with up-to-date data.
Note that data doesn't contain the "Open" field data (Open price of a stock at any given date). It has only the Close, High, Low and Volume fields.
The open field is just created by taking the previous close value. If that value is lower than today's low then the low price will be used as open. If it is higher than today's high then the high price will be used as open.
This item uses Excel to read the retrieved data. Make sure you have Excel installed on your computer.
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
