Hi QS,

Just want to know max cores/threads QuantShare supports currently?
An old thread from our forum did mention 16 threads for downloader, 20 threads for optimization, but not sure about current version.
And the possibly of max cores/threads support on the next release?

I am planning to upgrade my old 6 cores CPU to something that more suitable for QS..

Thanks.

Usually and depending on the tool, it will use most the available cores.
However some tools such charts, backtester, watchlist... will use a single core.

It means the more core the better, thanks for your advice.

Another question, I realized that Tool->Script only running single script at any one time, I can't execute multiple script concurrently, did I mess up anything?

You can do that. Just add the script to the bookmark panel and then you can execute as many scripts as you want at the same time.

Also the Task manager tool can execute many scripts at the same time.

rarely have I been able to adjust the cores. for all downloaders but 1, the cores is FIXED at 1. I have a dell optiplex 3020 i-5 quadcore. I was able to change one downloader thread to 5 and it does now run pretty fast.

oh, I see. you have to adjust the thread SETTINGS before you can adjust the threads at download/download manager/downloads.
