Each chart is composed of one or several panes and each pane is composed of one or several formulas. To update pane formulas, right click on a pane and select "Edit Formula". Here are the main functions of the Formula Editor: Buttons under the top menu: Update Graph: Click on this button to apply this formula to the selected pane. You should click on this button each time the formula is updated. If there are errors in your formula, then this icon will turn red and you will see the number of errors here. A "Show Errors" button will also be displayed. You can click on this button to see information about these errors (Description, Line and column number where the error occurred). Left & Right icons: Click on these buttons to switch between formulas. Number of formulas: Next to these icons you can see how many formulas are used by the selected pane. Auto-Complete: This option enables the auto-complete feature each time you type something in the formula editor. Look-Ahead: This function tells you if there is a look-ahead bias (When your formula reference future bars - a very bad idea). It also shows you the number of past bars and future bars referred by the formula. Under these buttons, you can click on: Add Method: Creates a new method (Function that performs an action) and add it to your formula Add Indicator: Creates a new indicator (Function that returns a vector/variable) and add it to your formula Files Manager: Allow you to load a formula from a file In the top menu, you can create a new formula, add an existing one, remove a formula from the pane's list of formulas or save the current formula to a file.
